OR 2-4 Windows 10 replacement

The Windows 10 system in seat OR 2-4 (that looked like it had been reset) has been replaced with a new Windows 11 system.

We currently have 4 Windows 10 systems remaining in the Open Room, and 2 student Windows 10 systems in the Classroom.  The plan is to upgrade these to Windows 11, or replace them with Windows 11 systems, by the end of summer.

OR1-1 replacement, OR2-2 upgrade

The PC at OR1-1 was taken out of service.

A new PC (Optiplex with an Intel I9 Gen 13 CPU, 32GB of memory, AMD video card) was installed at OR1-1.  It has Corel Paintshop Pro 2021, Adobe Photoshop Elements 2025, and a couple free photo editors.  It also has DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premier Elements 2025 for video editing.  It should be a good system for serious photo and video editing.

The PC at OR2-2 was upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

Several members have commented that the PC at OR4-2 looks like it has a virus.  A full virus scan was done.  Nothing was found.

Open Room system shuffle, Chromebook and OR3-1 affected

The ancient Chromebook in the Display case was taken out of service.

The Chromebook from seat OR3-4 was moved to the Display case.

The PC in OR3-1 was relocated to OR3-4 and renamed appropriately.

A new PC was installed at seat OR3-1.  This system has Cyberlink Photo Director for photo editing (current program and includes AI capabilities).  It will also have Family Tree Maker 2024 when it is available.
